PostHeaderIcon Can Positive Thinking Help You To Achieve Success?

Success depends greatly on whether or not you have the ability to keep a positive attitude. For most of the times, you have heard the phrase ‘think positive’ from your loved ones when you were low or depressed. The ups-and-downs that you feel are all controlled by your mind. A common saying, “thoughts are things”, is as true as the saying “you are what you eat”, and can affect your overall well-being.

Is having the highest qualifications and education the only avenue to success, circumventing the entire positive thinking approach? Although, without the proper outlook, even having the best possible credentials may not lead to your success.

A person with positive attitude bears love, consideration and compassion for his companions in the world. He always observes the brighter face of life. Thus empowering them to make the right decisions and feel confident in the fact that they are right, and best suited for the issue at hand.

Changing the way you think from negative to positive can be a difficult and trying process, so here are some suggestions to help:

Write down your aims everyday

Write down a list of goals that you want to achieve and any steps that you know you will need to make towards each one. You should follow this up on a daily basis with the strides you are making to achieve this goal.

Imagine reaching your goal

Being able to visualize your achievements is one of the greatest keys to success. If you cannot see yourself as successful, you may lose your direction, as you have no set outcome to your processes. A few minutes each day spent meditating on your goal will help keep you in a positive frame of mind about it and lead to new solutions to any obstacles you may encounter.

Always try to think positive

The subconscious mind is what drives your inspiration to success, but the flame of inspiration can only be stoked with positive thoughts, as negative ones will make it sputter and die out. Actual reminders to maintain optimism is the best practice to influence your success, and not get side tracked with negative thoughts.

Successful positive thought transformation can be achieved when you follow these three steps on a daily basis. Having a positive outlook on life will allow you to be able to more readily deal with any situation that comes up in life and help you realize the fulfillment of your goals.

PostHeaderIcon Are You Willing To Feel Good All The Time?

The Big Leap is a book talking about beyond what Gay Hendricks, the author of the book, calls our ” Upper Limits ” as we learn to live in our ” Zone of Genius ” – a place where time flows and we expand in abundance, success and love every day as we inspire those around us to do the same. We construct this positive field of energy around us which attract the like minded positive people and help them live their life in their genius zone.

Gay Hendricks opens the book by asking us four questions

  • “Am I willing to increase the amount of time every day that I feel good inside?”
  • “Am I willing to increase the amount of time that my whole life goes well?”
  • “Am I willing to feel good and have my life go well all the time?”
  • “Are you willing to take the Big Leap to your ultimate level of success in love, money, and creative contribution?”

Isn’t it a little strange how we seems to have this notion that we have a built-in of our capabilities to experience joy, success, love and abundance. Most of the time you must have realized that the factors affecting the situation are within us, as compared to our usual belief of the external factors influencing it all. The only thing restricting us from achieving anything that we want is us!

These four questions might seem easy to answer at first glance, but their real purpose is to make you realize whether we are truly living the life that we always envisioned for ourselves.

Am I willing to feel good and have my life go well all the time?

Off course we all would answer “Yes” to this question. But wait a second. Yes, we are willing to feel good and our life go well all the time. We all do. But how many of us are actually able to carry it out. We end up criticizing the situation, time, people and the list goes on..

The Big Leap, over here in the literal sense means that leap towards a better life which we have always been thinking about, aspiring all the time but never had the chance/guts to do it. This books will make you ponder upon your priorities in life and will give you the courage to go ahead and take it.

PostHeaderIcon Want To Be Successful? Then Embrace Change!

If you look up synonyms for ‘changeable’ you will find words such as: ‘uncertain’, ‘volatile’, ‘unsettled’, ‘unstable’. All of those can make us feel ‘vunerable’, ‘unsure’ and / or ‘insecure’.

There is a part of us which likes to feel secure and safe and change is not compatible with that. Yet, after change has occurred, we very often call it ‘evolution’, ‘progress’, ‘expansion’, ‘growth’ or ‘advancement’, and this throws up a far more positive set of emotions.

Therefore, it seems that it is not change itself which makes us anxious so much as the transition process that it entails. We like the stability of things as they presently are. Now is somehow comforting because we know what to expect; yet our ‘now’ is changing every day.

Perhaps it is not change that we fear so much as the loss of control that we associate with change. Change always carries an element of risk. Sometimes that fear, that perceived risk, is so big that it prevents us making changes that we need to despite our unhappiness with our current situation.

At the other end of the scale, there are times when we have probably all been guilty of change for change’s sake. We change our hair color, we change the layout of the living room furniture, we may even change where we work.

Why? We do it to avoid making the changes that really matter in our lives. Deep down, it might be our choice of career that is making us unhappy, but we will change the color of our hair ‘just to make ourselves feel better’, because that is an ‘easy change’.

Seeing as change is inevitable, why not embrace it? Use change as an opportunity to evaluate what is going right or wrong, and course correct. Use it as your master key to success. How else are we going to grow?

PostHeaderIcon One Simple Method To Make All your Worries Vanish

According to the research, one of the most common cause of worrying for most of the people is not to accept the reality. I just recently ended reading Dale  Carnegie’s How to Stop Worrying and Start Living (for the 6th time) and discovered (again!) the four main questions that helped me realign my thoughts.

How to stop worrying and start living is not really a rocket science. On a contrary note, it is simple. Literally. All that one needs to do, is focus on the right set of thought. I know by now you would be like ” Yeah, Riiight! ” Well I get that too. I know its much easier said than done. For this reason, I have this really simple exercise for you. It helped me immensely to get over my habit of unnecessary worrying.

Believe it or not, but you can banish 90 percent of your worries by taking these four steps:

1. Writing down precisely what you are worried about.

2. Writing down what you can do about it.

3. Deciding what to do.

4. Starting as soon as possible to carry out that decision.

If you analyze it little more closely then you realize that by completing this exercise you end up confronting the problem. You are not in the denial mode anymore. For that matter, now you have acknowledged the problem and have committed yourself to take action against it.

The science behind this is pretty simple. Now you are more deliberately putting your thoughts in the right direction. Instead of being part of the problem (by worrying about the worry), now you are part of the solution!

Here’s an awesome quote from the book How to Stop Worrying and Start Living by Dale Carnegie “I know with conviction beyond all doubt that the biggest problem you and I have to deal with—in fact, almost the *only* problem we have to deal with—is choosing the right thoughts. If we can do that, we will be on the highroad to solving all our problems.”

PostHeaderIcon How Business Coaching Changes your Environment and Success

Business Coaching with Frost Neuro Linguistics

Have a look around you, what does your surroundings say to you? Are the happenings and things within the environment around you those that make you smile and feel positive with the world you experience? Or are they creating feelings of depression and stress about what is occurring in your life and what you have currently? It is incredibly common for people to look at the things they do, the things around them and to feel a lack of content.

Think of the people you spend time with, your friends and your family, how happy are they with their lives, how positive or negative is their outlook? And if you really think the outlook they take is positive, take a deeper look, what are they drawing to them that gives cause for them to be happy each day, are they truly positive or do they mask negative undercurrents?

Your environment contains a mass of information about you as you well know, have a look at it, what do you think that other people would think about what they see? On that note, what are your beliefs about it when looking within yourself? People see a huge variety of different things in the environment around them and everyone has their own way to interpret what these things mean. The mind works on several levels, two of which we are concerned with here, firstly the conscious level and secondly the unconscious level. The conscious is where you actively think, visualise and communicate with words. The unconscious mind is the domain of your feelings and also your core beliefs, it shapes your perceptions of the environment you exist in. The unconscious mind does other things as well, when you decide to move a muscle it controls that movement, your conscious mind would take a great deal of time to shift your arm due to all the individual tendons and fibres that need coordination, whereas your unconscious can easily manage all the neurons required to operate the muscles without effort. The conscious part of your mind can work with approximately seven plus or minus two chunks of information at a time in comparison to the unconscious which works with around 134 chunks. Coming from a different direction, you have around two million bits of information a second coming in through your senses, if all of that came straight to your conscious mind you would be totally overwhelmed. So your unconscious filters information for you based on what is a priority, and takes into account your belief structures and previous experiences, it deletes, distorts and generalises what’s happening accordingly. Yes it really does delete information, do you have constant awareness of the feeling your right shoe on your foot all day? Most likely not as you don’t need to be, so this information is deleted, unless of course the shoe is bringing pain in which case it highlights the feeling. So your mind shapes the appearance of the world around you, what you pay attention to and also what draws your attention. Knowing this how does it make you feel in regard to the things going on around you and the view you have been seeing them from, about how people round you have been behaving towards you? Does it yield you cause for celebration? If so you’re in a small percentage of the population!

When you look at the world around you if you are anything other than happy with it then I’m sure you agree that something needs to change right? Right! Certainly creating high levels of Achievement in a negative environment is difficult. So what can you do? People often go out and change their work, girlfriend/boyfriend, associates, car, home, eating and drinking habits and many other things. Are these things the most effective things to alter though? In certain cases yes, in the majority there are some tweaks required but a greater fundamental shift is required. As you are now aware your experience of things occurring around you are shaped by your unconscious mind, and it does this by drawing from your belief system and experience. Can your previous experience and your beliefs colour the world you now live in and your ability to enjoy it? Absolutely, they have a major impact on your levels of Success! When you look at your world through rose tinted glasses the world appears rosy, by the same virtue if the glasses are dulled with bad experiences, poor communication, stress and discontent then those are the things you will see and pay attention to as they are the ones that your mind identifies with most strongly. To further expand, if you shape your view of the world and other people shape theirs, then how are people viewing you? If you are seeing them through a haze of caution and mistrust then do you think that they are also viewing you in the same way? Likely so as your thoughts will alter the way they behave.

PostHeaderIcon Gain Personal Growth with Communication

We’ve all found it rather difficult to develop personal growth in communicating our thoughts or feelings to someone else. Forming all the emotions and thoughts that are jumbled in our heads to a sentence or two can be challenging.

Links

However, we need to interact with one another, because it’s what makes this large world go ’round. Instead of becoming frustrated, and assuming that the world just doesn’t understand us, we should first try to understand others. You can gain personal growth in communication with others, and here are but a few ways to help you achieve this:

Relax

Don’t become so wrapped up in how something should be or what would make it better. When you communicate with someone, and you develop preconceived notions on how they should be, you turn them off. Try not to be so firm in your beliefs before you completely hear what the other has to say. Take your time to understand someone, that is the trick. If you don’t have time for anyone else, why, praytell, should they have time for you?

Probe

Begin by asking questions when you communicate with someone. After all, people don’t naturally walk up to others and start explaining everything they feel, want, like, and have been through. When you ask someone who you’re communicating with questions, they feel as though you actually care, and they will start asking you questions. Probing questions are what makes conversations. For example, if a person says they like to eat cheesecake, a good question would be, “What kind?” Simple as it is, it is rather effective, and keeps the conversing on a consistent and non-invasive level.

Listen

A question that is often asked of people is, if they should wait to speak, or actually listen. Forming statements or questions in our heads, and focusing solely on them until the person we’re talking to takes a breath in speech is rude, and reckless. When you abandon a person by waiting to talk we show them that we weren’t very interested to begin with, and rather selfish in this right.

Speak… Honestly

Lies are often uttered to total strangers. These are only little white lies, but they are lies, nonetheless. When you meet anyone, or talk to existing friends or family, try to speak with honesty. The more honesty you show, the more personal development you can gain in building integrity. When you speak honestly, you won’tt speak or do something opposite to what you feel. Try to apply this concept to every encounter that you may have.

Be the Host

Let’s say, for instance, you go to a party. It’s a small gathering, maybe no more than forty people, and you have to mingle. You can communicate very well by thinking of yourself as the host of the party. Now, don’t lie and say things such as, “this event cost me a lot of money. Do you like it?” Try to stay in your own roll or flesh as partygoer, but be as inviting, friendly, and comfortable as a host should be. People will begin to flock to you, coming to you for your command of entertainment and conversation.

Balance Yourself

You can most definitely gain personal growth in communication once you simply treat people the same way you would like to be treated. A warning to you: the more friendly and sociable you become, the more responsibility you hold. You must compare your actions with your words. Your feelings must be expressed in a non-attacking manner. Build those relationships, and further develop personal growth in communication skills.
