10 Steps To Fight Off Your Discouragement In Your Life
I watched an awesome video by Dr. Phillip Goudeaux about 10 steps to fight off Discouragement. When we get discouraged it can affect us in so many ways. The biggest way it affects us the most is with our emotions. It can consume our each thought and drain our courage.. It can make us angry, lonely, and make us feel disappointed in ourselves. It can even make some people bitter. It attacks our vision, passion, dreams, hopes and faith for the reason that life can throw so many numerous things at us at a given notice..
We do have the capability to change and battle off discouragement and alter our situation and resume on our path.. Here are 10 steps of fighting off discouragement.
- Become your own cheerleader-you don’t have to get pom poms but pat yourself on the back for even the little triumphs or do a little jig (dance).
- Stay positive-even in the most negative situation stay positive about it and look how you can change the negative to a positive.
- You are in control- remember that you are always in control of yourself, attitude, and environment.
- Change your atmosphere- do something different, get away to think or meditate.
- Don’t associate around negativity- if you are constantly around negative individuals you need to change. Maybe you don’t associate with these individuals.
- Have a vision of winning-vision yourself accomplishing your goal or promise to yourself.
- Get more sleep-this is a hard one for me but this does really help. Take time to make sure you are getting enough sleep even if you take a power nap to rejuvenate.
- Recognize things that bring discouragement-be more receptive of things that make you discouraged and make a note of it and make a change.
- Stay productive and focused-by staying productive and focused on what you need to get accomplished it will become a positive accomplishment over any discouragement.
- Attitude-a positive attitude will always defeat discouragement. Attitude is more important than the problem that has come into your life.
I believe that attitude is key to all of these points.I feel if you can keep a positive attitude that the other 9 keys will fall into place. I hope this brought some value to you and keep your head up and fight off any discouragement. I have faith in you.
As always I love to hear any comments you may have and feel free to share with your friends.
Tell me a story or situation that you rose above discouragement.

Creating Abundance Using The Law Of Giving And Receiving
When it comes to creating abundance a significant law to use is the Law of Giving and Receiving. It ranks high on the list with the Law of Attraction. The idea is simple yet full of elegance.
When we give, the energy of the giving goes out and comes back to us. In other words the vibration is traveling in a circular way. However, the vibration that returns is magnified because along its journey the energy collected more of the same. This is the why behind the saying that something returns 10 fold or more.
The Law of Giving and Receiving has been written about by many. One of my favorites is by Catherine Ponder in her book, the Dynamic Laws of Prosperity. Catherine tells the story of a woman who has run out of money and has no means of feeding her children.
Frantically, this woman calls a counselor and is told to to first give something to someone in order to receive. The woman is at a loss for what to give thinking she has absolutely nothing. The counselor encourages her by telling her that we always have something to give. Then, the woman recalls that she has flowers in her yard. She cuts them and brings them to a sick neighbor.
She is also told to set her table with her best china, to make a shopping list and to expect the money to show up. Unexpectedly, a friend shows up at her door with money that she borrowed from this woman, money she had written off ever being repaid.
A quality that this woman needed to carry out the counselor’s instructions was faith, faith that the means for her children to eat would arrive. She also needed to call on her creativity when she remembered the flowers in her yard.
A significant part of using the Law of Giving and Receiving is not being attached to the way in which the receiving part will occur. So often the receiving arrives from a direction that is totally unanticipated. In The Go-Giver by Bob Burg and John David Mann, the authors give a list of 5 laws we need to use. The last law is the Law of Receptivity. It is the law that advises us to be open to receive. To be open is to be alert. You must have the quality of openness to the act of receiving and then have your antennae up ready to tune into the chance to receive.
Many proponents of the Law of Giving and Receiving offer the advice to give first and then you will receive. This recommendation has been offered under the guise| of selfless giving with the idea that the act of giving is better than receiving.
Victor Boc has a different approach. He has no hidden agenda. He is not advising selfless giving. He encourages us to give because we know we will then receive. There is no guilt linked with the receiving part. Receiving is on an even plane with its counterpart giving. It’s a refreshing idea.
I highly recommend you play with the idea. Experiment with the Law of Giving and Receiving. Draw your own conclusions. In your adventure of creating abundance take full advantage of each law. Use them for your highest good and the highest good of others.
How The World’s Worst Traveler Achieved Her Business Success
It all started with her being seized by the simple whim to pack her suitcases and head off to whatever European city entered her mind, for a few weeks. It was, after all, mid-summer and she needed to get away for a while. A major monkey-wrench was thrown into her very simple plan, when was told by every travel agent in the city that she should have booked during the spring, when seats were still available.
In the end, she had been left with no choice but to change her travel plans somewhat. Instead of heading to a city of her choice, she wound up booking a flight to the only destination for which seats were available. That it happened to be the capital city of a tiny country she had never heard of before did not deter her one bit. She stuffed her suitcase full of girls shirts and shoes and other essentials, and off she went.
Put in a nutshell, that is how she wound up in the middle of a country where nobody, not one soul, could speak her language. This resulted in something of a heart-stopping moment when the customs agent examining her bags suddenly gave her the strangest of looks. He gestured towards her Swarovski earrings and began jabbering excitedly in his own language. At first she thought that she must have violated a local regulation by wearing them, but through some rudimentary sign language and crudely drawn pictures depicting stick-figures carrying guns being chased by other stick figures in police uniforms, the agent was able to communicate that he was only warning her about local thieves.
The moment that she stepped outside the airport, she knew that she had made a terrible mistake. She had packed light, summery clothing when the climate was anything but. An icy blast blew her skirts up almost over her head, delighting some of the male travelers who had been with her on her flight, and who were now flagging cabs or being picked up by relatives. She clutched her skirts about her, and resolutely stepping in line for one of the waiting cabs.
Her luck appeared to be changing at last. Her driver not only appeared to have been looking elsewhere when the wind behaved so rudely, he also recognized the name of her hotel from the printed out confirmation that she waved under his nose. After twenty heart-stopping minutes spent racing along a highway on which every driver seemed to be testing their Formula One racing skills, she arrived at her hotel a bit shaken-up, but none the worse for wear.
Bright and early the next morning, she arose and set straight out for the city’s center, despite her experiences of the previous day. It turned out to be one of those life-changing decisions that happen so very rarely. For, wherever she turned, she was shop windows filled with row upon row of exquisitely and ornately designed men wedding bands. In a flash, she had her calculator out and, after doing all the math, concluded that she could easily make more than five hundred percent profit if she resold them back home.
A new business was born that day, on that street in the middle of nowhere. The local population still does not speak any language other than their own. But, that is not a problem for our heroine, who keeps the source of her supply a closely guarded secret. She has learned theirs.
Using Sounds For Healing – The Basics
There are many dimensions which one can look to when discussing about this topic and this is definitely not a new concept as the concept of healing has been around for centuries. One thing that you need to know about is how you are going to best use this to your advantage and what kind of mediums you can use to affect the same responses in yourself. Of course this is not the case of any old sound that can be used to affect the whole healing process, and one thing that you must know is that all of this came from the simple fact that sounds is one thing that you really need to know about as a magical substance that can almost achieve anything. It almost like how smell can be so powerful that it brings you right back into a situation.
The basics of this industry lies in the fact that music is used and different music can effect the lives of many people in many different ways. If one were to notice, we could almost say that the human body is one giant tuning fork, and we need to start to take advantage of that. Now, of course this all depends on the physiology of the person and the kind of history they have with the music. Someone who grew up listening to rock might say that when they are exposed to rock music, they find themselves much more at ease, but the current technology of sound goes much, much deeper than this.
What this means is that we are going down to a molecular level of sound, in this case, allowing all of us to realise how the brain is the one master and commander of how the body functions and what kind of healing processes would be best be placed in this whole philosophy here. In every sense of the word, sound plays a major role within the human brain and this is down to the cortical of the mind, deep within the cerebrum of the mind that actually is able to pick up sound that is super or sub sonic, which means that normal human ears cannot be able to pick them up.
Now, when thinking about this, what you need to know about is that the brain exists in certain electromagnetic states in frequencies, and the one thing that is similar in the case of sound, is that it also exists in the whole frequency stage as well, so where does that leave us? This means that there are specific states of frequency that changes the brain and tells it to peak. One of these frequencies is responsible for the whole healing process and this is what we really need to zero in on.What we need to do now is to learn to take advantage of the power of sound and in this case, use binaural beats to help us heal.
How The Kitchen And Kids Go Together
When someone said that the kitchen is the heart of the home, they must have had children. If you have kids, then you know that you spend a lot more time in the kitchen than you ever did when you did not have kids.
The day always starts for the most part in the kitchen. Breakfast for those families with children is a busy time to say the least, especially if those children are in school. Many parents are busy trying to get breakfast foods into their kids while also trying to make lunches as well. While some parents may also have this part of the morning down to an exact science, there are some that might be able to use a few tips in making this time of day go a little smoother.
If you remember the time before the countertop microwave, then you know exactly how much time is being saved on those kinds of mornings. Many kinds of frozen goods meant for breakfast are available. All you have to do is put them in the microwave for a few seconds and you have a hot breakfast. This sure beats a cold bowl of cereal everyday to save time in the mornings.
One thing to avoid in the mornings is making school lunches. You can make much better lunches at night before you go to bed and all you will have to do in the mornings is grab them out of the fridge and give them out. You can think about the things you want to add to those lunches better when you are not in a rush and worried over everyone being late.
The weekends in your kitchen are usually completely different than those weekday mornings. This is the time to spend in the kitchen with your kids. Young toddlers are all about mixing batter and putting their little hands into the biscuit dough. What about the first time that you see your child using one of the knives out of the knife set that you used to always keep out their reach? Kids grow up fast, so enjoy those days when they think that squishing the dough between their fingers is the coolest.
If you have plenty of cake and cookie recipes, a few big bowls, all the ingredients, and a cuisinart hand mixer, then you are ready to make some memories with your child. Baking sweets is one of the best kinds of fun to have with your kids.
Your children are going to grow up fast. Making sure to make long lasting and great memories is important for you and them. Cooking together is one of the things that you can turn into some of those memories, so always keep an eye for those great recipes.
